A bit of "mingling" history:

Our economy has had its ups and downs. Back in the early '80's, San Francisco laid off 1,200 teachers. I was one of them. I designed a career change workshop to help my colleagues transition into other professions. How To Work A Room®, my most requested presentation, evolved out of that experience. I was then invited to be the coordinator for the San Francisco Examiner's Careers Series. I'd written about 20 of the columns when my friend, author Judith Briles, said, "Suz, How To Work A Room® should be a book!" She handed me her agent's name and number. I called him. And thus began the journey.

Now in its third edition, How To Work A Room® has turned 21 years old, is still available everywhere; in bookstores, on-line, even on Kindle. It continues to be a resource to people in their careers and personal lives. I'm thrilled that my book continues to help people. That's something to celebrate!
